HOLY WEEK. Invite a friend!
Sunday Mar.29: Palm & Passion Sunday
Thurs. Apr.2: Maundy Thursday: Light meal at 6pm; followed by the service, during which we read through together our Lord’s betrayal, passion, and crucifixion, join in the Lord’s Supper recollecting the Last Supper, and conclude with the stripping of the sanctuary recollecting Jesus’ period in the tomb. A somber but moving service in preparation for the joy of Easter Sunday.
Good Friday: St Laurent Churches Walk (Stations of the Cross at various local churches); 8:30 to 12:30; schedule attached, including when at CMP.
Sunday April.5: Easter Sunday.
URGENT HELP NEEDED THIS FRIDAY & SATURDAY
A member of CMP has to move tomorrow and Saturday and has encountered some complications, thus is in need of help. If you would be able and willing to assist, for more information please contact Chris Barrigar, 514-712-5136.
EASTER SUNDAY – BEE-BOX BUILDING
After the service on Easter Sunday, help build our Bee Hotel! Last year, CMP Youth began building bee boxes to install behind the church to promote pollinators in St-Laurent. (Don’t worry, these are non-stinging bees!) We need to finish constructing them in time for bee season this spring! JOIN US after the Easter service. Wear outdoor clothing and closed toe shoes. Bring a hammer and/or a drill if you have one. More information will be provided on Easter Sunday; or, for more information, see Melissa Oddie or Julia Smith-Brake.
SAT. APRIL 03 – JYC BOWLING FUNDRAISER
We are so excited to share with you that we will have our JYC Bowling Fundraiser on Saturday, April 11th, from 11-2 at Laurentian Lanes.
Please come out to support JYC! Feel free to invite friends and family.
These fundraisers help send campers to camp, buy program materials, and pay for the site we rent. Your support is greatly appreciated and honestly,
we couldn’t do it without you!!
Reserve your spot by April 3.
Contact Lydia at 514.239.5113 for more information.

SAT. APRIL 25 – ENCOUNTERING JESUS IN OUR SECULAR AGE
With Rev Dr Raphael Anzenberger, Executive Minister, French Baptist Union of Canada. In this event hosted at CMP, Dr Anzenberger will explore the challenges and hidden opportunities of evangelism in secular contexts, with examples from Europe and Quebec. While many Christians feel that ‘no one is listening,’ there is often more spiritual openness than first appears. Drawing on the broader framework developed by Charles Taylor for understanding life in a secular age, we will identify concrete, realistic ways to share your faith and to accompany people on a fruitful pathway of discipleship. 9:30am-12:00pm. Bring your lunch. Free for CMP members, $10 for others. Invite friends!
SAT. MAY 2 – EMBODIED PRESENCE: A SOMATIC AND SPIRITUAL JOURNEY
You are invited to the transformative power of somatic experiences. In this one-day Christian workshop/retreat you will receive a holistic approach to faith promoting deep peace (ease), encouraging embodied self-reflection, fostering spiritual growth, and creating connection between mind, body, and Spirit for healing and resilience (1 Thess.5:23). Facilitated by former CMP member Jennifier Cole MA, Counselling Therapist, and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner®. Jen is currently working on her Doctor of Ministry degree at Fuller Theological Seminary exploring spiritual formation and embodiment. 9am-4:30pm, at CMP. Bring your blanket and pillow, mats, exercise ball if you have one, and whatever else will give you ease. Cost: Early Bird: $99 (deadline: April 12, 2026); Standard: $125 (April 13 – May 1, 2026; limited onsite registrations if space allows). For registration and payment, email Jennifer: oldscounselling@gmail.com.
COFFEE FUNDRAISER FOR JYC
The week-long sleep-away camp that Di Keener and Pippa Brotherwood co-direct in Magog every summer just launched a coffee fundraiser campaign. The funds raised from this campaign will help campers attend camp who otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford to go, and support the running of various camp activities. Zab Café is a renowned Montreal-based specialty coffee roaster. If you are able to contribute to this fundraiser by purchasing a bag of coffee, it will be greatly appreciated! You can order through this link. Once the coffee has been delivered to us, I will distribute it. Thanks so much! If you have any questions, please reach out to Di or Pippa at ctmjuniorcamp@gmail.com
REFRESHMENT HELP NEEDED!
We are in need of helpers from our church family to assist with refreshments once a month. These are the needs:
1) Primary volunteers to oversee your assigned Sunday: purchasing and preparing the food, baking (if you wish), making coffee, ensuring we have milk, cream, tea, sugar, and being in charge of set up and tear down. We will arrange assistants (secondary volunteers) if you wish.
2) Secondary volunteers: You just need to show up to help with set up, preparing already bought food, serving, cleaning, washing dishes, and tear down.
If you might be interested in one of these roles, please contact Anthoula: anthoula.dounavis@gmail.com.
REFRESHMENT DONATIONS
Our expenses for providing Sunday refreshments are going up. Going forward, the Refreshment teams will put out a receptacle for donations towards the cost of refreshments. Donations are optional, but very helpful.
LAST SUNDAY’S WORSHIP SONGS
Opening Hymn: All Hail the Power of Jesus Name #321.
